African Classics produces a range of leather cushions, pouf’s, canvas and plastic coated bags plus other accessories. Situated in Gigiri, within easy reach of the centre of Nairobi, the company is run by Annabelle Thom who has developed a reputation for producing high quality products.

Workshop African Classics workshop.

The small company workshop has is based in Annabelle’s garden where seven full time employees hand make items which are sold around the world. These employees have been trained by Annabelle in their respective skills to produce goods to the highest standards; a benefit they would not otherwise have been fortunate enough to develop.

Like many African companies, African Classics depends on a range of skills and abilities which employees can bring with them. In return, a good salary and excellent working conditions helps provide a stable environment for employees’ families to survive and benefit from education and health; services we easily take for granted in the developed world.

The combination of these artistic skills and abilities helps provide an exciting product range for a global market. And essentially, customers purchasing these items are securing a brighter future for employees and their families in Kenya.
